Anger among Mosul University students
Abstract
The aim of the current research is to build a situational measure of anger and then measure the level of anger among students of the University of Mosul and to identify the differences in the level of anger according to the variables of gender (male - female) and grade (second - fourth) specialization (scientific - human). 600) male and female students from the University of Mosul, distributed over (24) colleges. The two researchers also built a scale for measuring anger, and the apparent validity of the scale items was verified by presenting them to a group of experts. The scales validity and stability were calculated. Statistically significant within the variable of specialization (scientific - human) in favor of the human specialization and the absence of statistically significant differences within the variable of gender (male - female) and grade (second - fourth). In light of the results, the two researchers recommended the following:1- Conducting a media campaign about emotional discharge strategies for students in order to avoid anger, and the two researchers suggest conducting the following studies:1- Conducting a similar study on cognitive interference and its relationship to anger among secondary school students.2- Conducting an experimental study on the impact of an educational program to reduce anger among students of the University of Mosul.
