Abstract

Studying health indicators in Iraq is one of the main components of achieving comprehensive development, and this has an impact on providing services to the population. Health indicators are also important standards for measuring levels of sustainable development, and any defect or deficiency in these services has negative repercussions on human life. The research is focused Regarding identifying health indicators and the degree of their application to some social standards that determine infant mortality, maternal mortality, children under the age of five, and the index of longevity. The aim of this research is to identify an indicator of sustainable development, which is the indicator of health development and the extent to which it achieves its goals on the ground in various aspects. Human life, as well as highlighting the spatial disparity between the Iraqi governorates and then analyzing and interpreting this disparity within the framework of health indicators. We have relied on data issued by the Ministry of Planning for the years 2016 and 2023. In this research, population growth indicators were studied and health indicators that include deaths were reviewed. Children, maternal mortality, life expectancy, and the effect of income on maternal mortality. Statistical methods were also used to measure the relationship and correlation between health indicators.
