Working Memory Among Pupils with Learning Disabilities Read Preparation
Abstract
Abstract The current research aimed to measure the working memory of pupils with Disabilities learning to read. To achieve the research objectives. the two researchers prepared a test of working memory for students with reading difficulties using visual. auditory and executive tasks according to Baddelys model. then extracted the psychometric properties of each of them represented by validity and reliability. The current research is limited to pupils with Disabilities learning to read in primary schools affiliated with the General Directorate of Babylons Education in the center of AL-Hilla city for the academic year (2022-2023). The researchers used the stratified random sampling method in selecting the basic research sample. and the number of sample members reached (75) pupils. The statistical data was analyzed and processed using the Cronbach alpha equation. the Bay serial equation. and the t-test for one sample. The research reached to the following conclusions: The result is that the sample of the current research has below average working memory. and in light of the results reached by the researchers. the following conclusions can be summarized:1.The need to address Disabilities in learning to read through educational programs.2.The need to address working memory Disabilities through educational programs. It also presented number of recommendations. they are: The Ministry of Education or its representative should adopt diagnostic standards for diagnosing pupils who suffer from learning Disabilities to read and learning Disabilities in general in primary schools by specialized committees.
