Abstract

The current research aimed to identify the self fragmentation among the students of the University of Mosul and to identify the level of digital identy among the students of the University of Mosul, and to identify the significance of the differences in thes self fragmentation among the individuals of the research sample according to the variables (male - female) and And the (first - fourth) stage and specialization (scientific - human)., as well as identifying the significance of the differences in the level of digital identy among the members of the research sample according to the variables (male - female) and specialization (scientific - human) and the stage (first - fourth) and revealing the nature of the correlation between Willpower and future orientation among Mosul University students.If the basic research sample consisted of (400) male and female students who were chosen in a stratifiled random sample way from the colleges of the University of Mosul for the academic year (2022-2023) distributed among (10) colleges (5) colleges with scientific specialization and (5) with humanitarian specialization, and to achieve the objectives of the research The researcher applied two tools: the self fragmentation that researcher prepared ,which is in its final form of( 25) items, and the measure of digital identy (Al- azawi 2021), which is in its final form of (31) items. The validity of the two measures was verified by adopting (honesty). virtual, construction validity, and content validity) As for reliability, it was calculated in two ways, namely (the repetition method, and the internal homogeneity method, Cronbach's alpha equation.1- Mosul University students have belw avarage self fragmentation2- There is no statistically significant difference in the self fragmentation of Mosul University students according to the gender variable (males and females) , stages (first - fourth) and disciplines (scientific - human).3- .Mosul University students enjoy an above- average of digital identy.4- There is no statistically significant difference in the level of digital identy according to the gender variable (males and females) , stages (first - fourth) and disciplines (scientific - human).5- There is a no correlation between self fragmentation and digital identy.6- There are no differences in the nature of the correlation between willpower and orientation towards the future, depending on the variables (gender, academic specialization, and class).The researcher came out with a number of recommendations, the most important of which are:1- Educating university students about their effective role in developing society, and the importance of their psychological health , and the problem of self fragmentation that they suffer can be reduced with the help of specialists .2- Paying attention to the digital identityof university students and education them about its benefits , harms, and correct uses that serve their interests.3- the results of the current study can be benefited by coordinating with the ministry of education guidance programs for parents that show the sensitivity of digital identity , in addition to paying attention to their psychological well- being to avoid exacerbation of problems during young4-.Allocating government centersand websites specialaized in combating electronic blackmail and the problems factingthe digital identy.In the end, the researcher proposed a number of proposals, the most important of which are:1- Conducting astudy similar to the current study on other samples , such as elementary , middle , and middle school students.2- Conducting more studies on self fragmentation and its relationship to other variables such as:Parental treatment styles, psychological rebellion).3- Conducting astudy similar to the current study on other samples , such as (personality tipes , psychological alienation , social intelligence ).
