Evaluation of Old and New Third Intermediate Arabic Language Textbook from the Point of View of Arabic Language Male and Female Teachers
Abstract
The study aims to evaluate the old and the new Arabic language textbooks for the third intermediate, from the male and female Arabic language teachers' point of view. The study sample consisted of (94) male and female teachers, including (45) males and (49) females.The study tool was prepared in its final form from (30) items distributed into three sections, and the results showed that there was a distinction between the two textbooks and in favour of the new textbook, as the average for the fields of the old textbook (2.76%), and the new (3.64%). Furthermore, there were differences between the three fields in the old textbook, as the method of presenting the academic content was first with an average of (3.21%) with a moderate rating, while the field of achieving educational goals was last with an average of (2.30%) with a weak rating. The field as a whole reached (2.76%) with an intermediate rating. Additi. with an intermediate rating, Last but not least, there were statistically significant differences for the gender variable, as the calculated T-value was (3.095) and in favour of females. Moreover, there were statistically significant differences for the academic qualification variable, and the calculated T-value was (2.861) in favour of postgraduate studies, and there were statistically significant differences for the years of experience variable, as the calculated T-value was (3.706) in favour of the duration of experience (10 years or more). Finally, recommendations and suggestions were presented based on the results of the study.
