Legal regulation of minority rights in Iraq
Abstract
This study comprehensively addressed the issue of coexisting minorities in Iraq in light of constitutional and legal provisions, aiming to demonstrate the extent to which basic rights are granted to them as an integral part of the Iraqi social fabric. It sheds light on various political, civil, religious, and cultural rights, each according to the priorities of those minorities. These rights are considered the culmination of fundamental entitlements, the most important of which are enshrined in the Iraqi Constitution of 2005, and previously in the Law of State Administration for the Transitional Period of 2004, as well as in the most significant Iraqi laws concerning their interests.
