Legal Framework for the Protection of Copyright and Related Rights through Collective Management Organizations in Palestinian Law / Comparative Study

The Collective management is the exercise ofcopyright and related rightsby civil organizations.It allows creators and rights owners to exercise their rights efficiently in their country and abroad andit plays an essential role in the national and international exercise of authors rights because by individual management of rights cannot contact every single radio, television or website to negotiate licenses and remuneration for the use of his work.Collective Management Organizations are, in most cases, not-for-profit entities; their legal form can be either private or public. Depending on the repertoire they represent, they can also be called Music Licensing Companies, Mechanical Rights Organizations, Performers Collective Management Organizations or Reproduction Rights Organizations).
