Country experience in improving squatter areas
Abstract
Squatter settlements have become a real challenge to both governments and its residents as it is associated with serious environmental, social, and economic problems looking at the chaotic, cumulative, and inaccurate housing construction. Therefore, law and policy makers have to deal with such challenges and create effective solutions to the problem facing developing countries. Thus, the study focuses on other countries legislative experience in talking the problem especially the Egypts presidentialDecree (No.305/2008)regarding the Informal SettlementsDevelopment Fund.
