Abstract

Abstract Despite the ancient attempts that drew the scientific milestones of the law, the oldest of which dates back to the first century BC by the Roman jurist "Cicero", the scientific features of the law still need to be framed. This is attributed to the way it is taught, as the educational curricula in the country that are influenced by the Latin system, or Civil Law Tradition, in its laws and in the curricula of the law faculties in their countries concentrated on the teaching of law as a set of rules, and neglected the scientific aspect of it. They did not abound in the scientific preparation of the law student but dominated his mind by studying the different branches of law. Therefore, the student of law graduates and he/she is unaware of the most important legal sciences, such as legal comparative science, philosophy of law, jurisprudence, legal sociology, legal methodology, and legal logic with its pictorial and material parts. This may allow some to accuse the law of its distance from the scientific approach and its limitation to the arts only. Eventually, this led us to make an argument for the scientific aspect of the law and frame it scientifically through two topics. To begin with, we will deal with law from art to science, and then in the second turn, we will investigate the scientific consolidation of the law, until we come to the conclusion with some important results.
