Abstract

The arrival of Vladimir Putin to rule and his attempt to employ all the elements of Russian power to restore the status of the Russian Federation globally is an important turning point to strengthen Russian strategy globally, especially after the Russian intervention in the issue of Syria in 2011, as well as the alliance with Iran, the strong relationship with Turkey and Israel, and investments in the Arabian Gulf All, this comes from the importance of the Middle East in Russian thought, as it is an important entrance to strengthen the status of the Russian Federation and its global role. Despite the US presence in the Middle East, its strategic interests are likely to conflict with the Russians ones, without cancelling But Russia's desire to strengthen its presence there to secure its strategic interests remains.
