Abstract

The end of World War I in general resulted in important changes in the political map of the world, and this applies in particular to the countries defeated in the war, represented by the Ottoman Empire, Germany and its allies. It studied the Ottoman Empire among the Allied powers extending to France, Britain, Italy and Greece, and the Allied ships entered on November 13, 1918 for beneficial contributors and were able to land their warriors in the capital, Istanbul, and the fortifications of the harassers. After that, the French and British turned the commercial capital into a base for their military activities in other fields. France sought to consolidate its interests in the Ottoman Empire by flogging the bottle of interests with the rest of the Arab countries, and this remained the same until the peace conference in Paris in 1919.The French Prime Minister Clemenceau was clear in adopting a clear policy through which he wanted to divide the Ottoman Empire and protect French interests, especially economic and religious interests in the Ottoman provinces. The research was divided into two parts. The first section dealt with the French position on the division of the Turkish regions, while the second section dealt with the French position on the Ottoman Empire during the Izmir crisis .
