The Adalat Ve Kalkinma Partisi and its Relationship with the Turkish Military

The arrival of the AKP to the power, in Turkey in 2002, is as an important historical event due to the great achievements made by itfor Turkey in the economic, political, social fields, redirecting theTurkish policy according to the perspective of (strategic depth) and the constitutional, judicial and legal reforms. The research was divided into two axes, an introduction and conclusion. The first one discussed (the position and role of the military within the Turkish political life), focusing on the Turkish military establishment (a historical perspective) and analyzing the role of the military within the Turkish political life (the military coups). The second axis has studied the AKP and reducing the power of the Turkish military shedding light on the reforms and constitutional amendments. Also, the research find out a series of important conclusions.
