Qatari-Turkish Relations 2003-2017: A Study in Political & Diplomatic Field

The research deals with the issue of Qatar-Turkey relations during the period (2003-2017) in the political and diplomatic areas, as this period witnessed the development of political relations between the two countries significantly until they reached the stage of strategic partnership, that had a positive effect on the economic and military domains of these relations. The research also analyzes the factors, causes, and conditions that led to this rapprochement between the two sides. A great light was shed on the Qatari crisis that erupted between Qatar on the one hand and the rest of the Arab Gulf states, especially the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates on the other hand in 2017, which caused tension in the relations between Qatar and these countries. At the same time, it was an important reason and factor in the development of Qatari-Turkish relations after Turkey stood politically, economically and militarily alongside Qatar during this crisis.
