Security Approaches in Feminist Theory "The American Strategy on Women, Peace and Security as a Model"
Abstract
Feminist theory has been regarded as an ideological basis for many activities which carried out by actors in international politics. Therefore, the research intends to study the issue related to how the global intellectual approaches deal with women. The study based on the hypothesis that international vision about women empowerment has grown, which focuses on: the exclusion of women for a long time led to make men shaping international affairs alone. Thus, when increasing the role of women in public affairs and political participation, this leads to achieving peace and security. It aims to clarify the relationship between security , feminist theory and enlargement of mechanisms and strategies by countries, international organizations and global civil society institutions, which try to establish security and peace in the world. Also, it focuses on the US strategy on women, peace, and security for 2019 as a model for a country that seeks to employ the integration between theory and practice.
