Abstract

Abstract
The study seeks to find out what motivated the administration of President Donald Trump to transfer the US Embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem on December 6, 2017, and to predict the possible repercussions of this resolution and its implications for US policy towards the issue of Jerusalem, with highlighting the factors affecting the role of decision-making institutions, the domestic American political climate, and the nature of the international environment. The study also discusses the desired objectives of the resolution and the tools of implementation, and its political, legal and demographic implications, as well as Arab-American relations. The study is based on a main hypothesis: "The relationship and role of the influential elite in the American foreign policy industry during the Trump era, and the American decision to transfer the US embassy to Jerusalem." The study will be based on a number of approaches: the elite approach, the behavioral approach, the structural approach, and decision-making approach
