Abstract

The research addresses the concept of "Energy Security" and the challenges that face energy security for the EU, and Turkeys role in securing the energy supplies for the EU from energy production areas in the Caucasus, Central Asia and the Middle East as a bridge connecting these important areas with Europe and as an important corridor for oil and gas pipelines transport from energy production areas to European markets, with good prices, which reduces the adoption of European countries on natural gas supplies from Russian Federation, and thus reducing the Russian political pressure on European policies toward issues of common interest between the EU and the Russian Federation.
