Abstract
The study aims to:Investigating the impact of a learner-centered strategy on the development of several mental abilities in students. The researchers used the experimental method for its suitability to the nature and problem of the study, with pre-and post-tests. The research sample consisted of third-year Al-Maarif University College, Department of Physical Education and Sports Sciences students. The data was statistically processed using the SPSS statistical package. Based on these results, the researchers reached the following conclusions and recommendations, the most important of which are:The experimental group's gymnastics skills performance significantly improved using the learner-centered strategy. Due to its effective role in the learning process, we recommend using the learner-centered strategy in teaching gymnastics skills
