Codifying the Sport Values Scale for Students of the College of Basic Education, Department of Physical Education and Sports Sciences.
Abstract
The study aims to:Codify the Sport Values Scale for College of Basic Education, Department of Physical Education, and Sports Sciences students.Identify the degree of sports values among the College of Basic Education, Department of Physical Education, and Sports Sciences students.The research community consisted of fourth-year students from the College of Basic Education, Department of Physical Education, and Sports Sciences at the universities of Mosul, Al-Mustansiriyah, and Diyala, with 245 students. The research tools included the Sport Values Scale, which was subjected to all psychometric properties (face validity, construct validity, and reliability). The researchers used the (SPSS) statistical package on the computer to extract statistical means (mean, standard deviation, Pearson correlation coefficient, Spearman-Brown reliability coefficient, independent samples t-test, one-sample t-test, and split-half reliability coefficient).The researchers reached the following conclusions:The researchers prepared the validity of the Sport Values Scale for students of the College of Basic Education, Department of Physical Education, and Sports Sciences.There is a general need for students of the College of Basic Education, Department of Physical Education and Sports Sciences, to develop their sports values.Recommendations:Design a psychological counselling program to develop the level of sport values among students of the College of Basic Education, Department of Physical Education and Sports Sciences.The possibility of using and relying on the Sport Values Scale prepared in the current study by the researchers and conducting future research with other variables.
