Abstract

The study aims to:Identify the methods to verify the most commonly used reliability and validity coefficients for some physical and skill tests with maximum performance in the sports field. The descriptive method using content analysis was employed. The study community included theses and dissertations related to physical and skill tests with maximum performance for team sports, totaling 108 master's theses and 58 doctoral dissertations, representing 100% of the study community. Data collection methods included information collection forms, personal interviews, and content analysis. Percentages were used to reach the study results. One of the most important conclusions was that most master's theses and doctoral dissertations relied on test-retest (stability) as a method to verify the reliability coefficient of physical and skill tests. Most theses and dissertations relied on face validity to ensure the validity of the physical and skill tests. The scientific foundations (reliability and validity) of the physical and skill tests were not verified in most theses and dissertations.
