Analytical study of the basic skills and their relative importance in the competition of taekwondo players
Abstract
The research aims as follow:
Determine the most important skills used in the competition for different weight of taekwondo players.
Determine the contribution of each skill affecting level used in the competition for different weight for taekwondo players.
The research sample including 16 different weight players of international teams compete for the first and second place in the finals of the 18th world taekwondo championship in BEIJING (2007).
Data is got by a form arranged by the researchers who concluded and analyzed the film tape of the championship.
According to the obtained data we conclude the following:
Swing kick skill got the first rank of the most skills used by all weights.
Back kick skill got the second rank of the most skills used by all weights.
Front swing kick skill got the third rank of the most skills used by all weights.
Body punch skill got the forth rank of the most skills used by all weights.
Upward swing kick skill got the last rank of the most skills used by all weights.
The researchers have recommended the following:
Increase the training repetition of the Swing kick.
Adopt the result of the research regarding all skills ranked by all the coaches in their training programs.
