Abstract

The research aimed at being acquainted with the differences among some physical and motor abilities for students of early and late school grades in addition to the differences of physical and motor abilities between each class, beginning from third class, with next one. The follow-up descriptive method was used. The sample included 200 students from the ALJANAEN primary school in the left bank of Mosul city and AHMED ABDULGHANI Primary school in the right bank. The sample represented the third, fourth, fifth, and sixth primary classes of the early and late school grades. Specific tests of the physical and motor abilities were used such as single leap of both legs with distance of 10 meters for measuring the power of leg muscles, zigzag run for measuring the agility, sit and reach for measuring the flexibility of spine and posterior leg muscles. And the numbered circles for measuring coordination. Arithmetic mean, standard deviation, Persons coefficient correlation, percentage, and (T) test of the two independent samples were used for processing data statistically. The research concluded the following: 1. The students of the late school grade had improved compared with the early one in test of single leap of both legs with distance of 10 meters for measuring the power of leg muscles and test sit and reach of flexibility. 2. There were no improvement differences between the two grades in other abilities such as locomotive speed, left leg power, agility and coordination 3. There were no improvement differences between each class, beginning from third class, with next one in all physical and motor abilities in question
