A study of the components of the body in college of Physical education’s students and their effects on the time of 100m running

Studying the dynamics of the functional and physical measures related of the physical growth of athletes practicing different kinds of sports is remarkably important as to the ability of the body to practice the sport activity . The study aims at identifying some body components in the students of college of physical education , and their relation to the time of 100m running .
Being fit to the study , the descriptive approach has been used . The corpus included 123 first years students in the college of physical education , Mosul University . Measures of body components such as body weight , fat weight , body weight without fats , mass indicator .etc have been used the date have been dealt with statistically .
It has been concluded that there is a positive significant relationship between 100m running and weight , fat , weight and mass indicator , and there is no significant relationship with height and body weight without fats .
We recommend training programmes which help decrease the amount of fats in the body to keep the body weight that matches the kind of sport activity .
