Abstract

This research sheds light on the culture of consumption in Iraqi society based on the concept and mechanisms of globalization. The culture of consumption has been influencing the economic, social, cultural, and political transformations in our society. The image and nature of consumption has changed due to many circumstances, including market fluctuations in prices or the absence of some goods or the financial and economic crises. Added to that the extent of the appearance and flaunt of goods and the rapid change and modernization of the goods in many Iraqi houses within the Iraqi society.
