The impact of the KUD strategy on developing creative thinking among fifth grade students studying the Holy Quran and Islamic education

Abstract

The aim of the research is to identify the effect of the (KUD) strategy in developing creative thinking among fifth grade scientific students of the Holy Quran and Islamic educationTo achieve the goal of the research, the researcher developed a null hypothesis, and a sample of students in the fifth scientific grade for the academic year (2023-2024) was intentionally selected from the schools of the Mosul District Center, two schools: (Al-Rashidiya Preparatory School for Boys and Sur Nineveh Preparatory School for Boys). The two research groups were chosen from these two schools. Randomly by drawing method, the sample consisted of (67) students who were distributed into two groups, the first an experimental group that included (36) students who studied according to the (KUD) strategy, and the second a control group that included (31) students who studied the subject according to the usual method. The result of the research was that there was a statistically significant difference between the average grades of the experimental group students who studied according to the (KUD) strategy and the grades of the control group students who studied according to the usual method of developing creative thinking, in favor of the experimental group. In light of the research results, the researcher came up with several conclusions, including that the use of the (KUD) strategy had a role in developing creative thinking among fifth-grade scientific students in the Holy Quran and Islamic Education subject, and he recommended directing male and female teachers of the Holy Quran and Islamic Education subject in the secondary stage to adopt modern strategies in Teaching, including the KUD strategy, because of its impact on developing creative thinking among student.
