Abstract
The literary journey is considered one of the major literary genres, as it contains between its pillars minor and literary genres that are composed to embody the text of the journey and one of the frequently used literary genres is the autobiography. This literary genre presents the life of its author at different times and in changing places, and it also reveals the authors inner feelings and impressions of the place. This research attempts to reveal the manifestations of Ibn Masum Al-Madanis journey in his Salwat al-Gharib and Suwat al-Arib in which he records his journey from Al-Medina to India and his residence there for a period of time in response to his fathers desire to move to him because he held a job in India. He forced his family to follow him, and they were unwilling to leave the holy land that was their familiar home.
