Abstract

Official Iraqi prints such as general directorate of population for the year 1957 and general population guide for the year 1965 are important official resources to study history of cities such as Erbil through monarchy and republican eras due to important statistics regarding distribution of population in Iraq's administrative units like Erbil. The research folds in many aspects like studying Erbil city in Contemporary official Iraqi resources. The first part deals with administrative units in Erbil region. The second talks about the scattered villages. The third and Fourth parts talked about domesticated and nomad tribes. Fifth and sixth parts talk about blocks and roads. The sixth tackles public and private facilities like mosques, religious schools The seventh deals with swamps while the eight dealt with boards and board cities of the region.
