Abstract

References have a great impact on the life of the creator, as he relies on a previous culture that is like the horizon from which he derives his ideas, images and words. No creator can write without relying on his references and various cognitive and intellectual structures. These references are many, including cultural, cognitive, political, literary and religious. Poets and writers in the era of sects were influenced by these references, especially religious ones, which our writer Abu Al-Mutraf bin Umaira (d. 658 AH) relied on. Religious references, in turn, were divided into two sections: the Holy Quran and the Noble Prophetic Hadith. Our writer derived most of his texts from the Holy Quran, whether through direct or indirect textual employment or through narrative employment. The Noble Prophetic Hadith comes after the Quran, which in turn provided our writer with many of his creative texts.
