The effectiveness of the Six Faces strategy in developing positive thinking for fourth-grade literary female students in Arabic language

Abstract

Abstract The aim of the current research is to identify the effectiveness of the Six Faces strategy in developing positive thinking for fourth-grade literary female students in Arabic language. The research sample consisted of students of the fourth literary grade at Granada Secondary School for Girls. in the city of Kirkuk. for the academic year (2020-2021). It was chosen intentionally. as the total number of its members is (66) students. The sample of the experimental group consisted of (33) female students. who studied according to the cube strategy. and the sample of the control group consisted of (33) female students. who studied in the usual way. To achieve the goal of the research. a test was built to measure positive thinking. and it consisted of (40) paragraphs distributed over five areas. On (4/25/2021). it continued for a full academic course. with two lessons per week. and the post-test was applied on (28/6/2021). The data was statistically treated by t-test for two independent samples. The result was the superiority of the members of the experimental group that was studied with the six faces strategy over the members of the control group in the growth of positive thinking. The research also proved that there is a difference between the two applications before and after in the variable of positive thinking and in favor of the post
