Psychological disability among Mosul University students in the light of some variables
Abstract
The current research aims to build a scale of psychological disability among students of the University of Mosul and to identify the level of psychological disability among students of the University of Mosul, as well as to identify the differences in the level of psychological disability according to the variables (gender, specialization, academic level), and for the purpose of achieving those goals, the researchers prepared a measure of psychological disability it consists of (40) paragraphs covering six dimensions, which are (selective vision, expectation of failure, loss of hope and inability to control the environment, loss of will, social failure, deficit in academic performance), on a sample of (416) male and female students for the academic year. (2020-2021) and they were selected in a systematic random way from the faculties of the University of Mosul, and the validity and reliability of the scale were verified, and the research reached the following results : 1- The research sample possesses psychological impotence .2- There are no statistically significant differences in the level of psychological disability according to the variable (gender, specialization, academic level) . In order to complete the intended benefit of the current research, a number of recommendations and suggestions were formulated.
