Abstract

Islamic law gives women all marital rights. They have the right to dowry, aliment, good relations, and the right to consent. Parents do not have the right to force her to marry a person she has no desire for. These are rights specific to Islamic law. However, international agreements focus on abolishing all of these rights, so they work to end dowry, alimony, and lack of consent. Guardian: All the agreements establish is absolute equality between men and women in all rights and duties.
