Abstract
The city of Lousha is located to the south of Cordoba and to the northwest of Granada, Chenil River passes through the city from south to north, and its simplicity extends along the foot of Gil Schlier or the Snow Mountain. Muslims conquered it in year 92 A.H. / 710 A.D., and it was settled by many Arab tribes.The Cordoba government gave it special treatment , especially after Ibn Hafsun seized it and a number of its areas, so it rebuilt and fortified it. The people stood by the Cordoba government against him until they were able to get rid of his control .During the era of Altawaef, Lusha was owned by BanuMunadSanhajis, during the Almoravid and Almohad eras, its importance decreased due to the shift of interest to Seville and then the decline of the role of Cordoba, and during the era of Bani al-Ahmar, the city turned into gap city, Its people participated in defending it against the attacks of the Kingdom of Castile until its fall in the year 891 A.H. / 1486 A.D.
