Samih Al-Qassem's poetry in Contextual Criticism - the Historical Method as a model -

The research revealed the importance of the historical approach in treating poetic texts, as well as the critical discourse that dealt with al-Qasims poetry according to this approach. The research relied on the critical analysis of the critics who dealt with al-Qasims poems historically and collected these opinions and compared them to their truth. The historical curriculum needs resources other than the creative text, in order to document the historical incidents that the poet mentioned in his poems and to ensure that they are dated and correct. Therefore, critics who adopt the historical method need historical cultural and historical sources and are not satisfied with the creative text alone.
