Words Indicating Injustice in Lisan al-'Arab by Ibn Manzur (d.711 A.H): a Semantic Study

The theory of semantic fields have attracted the attention of those interested in modern linguistics, and the linguistic lexicon is a good place to study this theory, because it is based on determining the single meaning in ascribing the words to their semantic fields. The Arabic lexicon gives flexibility in selecting the semantic fields and collecting the words which is semantically related to the general titles of the field. We have chosen Lisan al-'Arab by Ibn Manzur (d.711 A.H) for it is considered an original dictionary in the linguistic research , and it handles the words of the language. It depends on five previous dictionaries. Hence, it is regarded as one of the complete dictionaries. The research depends in numerating the words indicating injustice in Lisan al-'Arab, tracing the semantic border which is connected with the title of the field on the one hand and its connection with injustice being the axis of the semantic fields. Injustice is misplacing the thing or moving away from the intention.
