A Comparative Study for Self Confidence for Basket ball Players at The University of Mosul 2004

(1995) (13) ( ) :- 0The research aims to identify the individual differences in the degree of Self-confidence State in. basketball players.The research was carried out on a sample chosen by the deliberate method which represented (30) players from three colleges (Forest and Agriculture College , Computers Science College the Administration and Economic college, which are, participated in University of Mosul Champion in basketball in 2004-2003.The Researcher used sport the degree of self confidence state scale (Robin Feely ) which is Arabic version was prepared by D. Muhammad Hassan Alawi (1995) .The scale consists of (13) article, after the accuracy and the validity of the scale. The data was statistically processed using (the arithmetic mean, standard deviation, Pearson simple correlation factor, and Uni.directional variance analysis) .The results showed the following: No significant differences exist in the degree of self -confidence state in among the three basketball teams players as a sample of research.The three teams players have close levels of Self-confidence State. The researcher recommends that work must be carried out for preparing the players psychically through training units and focus on the development of self-confidence through trial competition before participation in sport competitions.
