The Role of Traditionalists and Jurists in the Umayyad State(41 H.-661 B.C./86H.-705B.C.)
Abstract
(41 / 661 86 / 705 ) ( ) . The research deals with the traditionalists and jurists in the Umayyad state for the period (41 H -661 B.C / 86 H. 705 B.C) reviewing the legislative sciences represented by the sciences of the Holy Quran (Readings and interpretations) the sciences of Al-Hadith and jurisprudence (Fiqh) . These sciences formed the starting point from which the activities of traditionalists and jurists stemmed through out all historical stages with which the research dealt beginning with Muawiya bin Abi Sufyan Caliphate to the stage of the Caliphate crisis after the death of Muawiya till the third stage which is represented by the period of Abd Al-Malik bin Marwan Caliphate .
