Abstract

Media Freedom has a great value in the lives of individuals and societies due to the role played by the media in delivering information, news and ideas to individual in order to form his belief, However, freedom of the media does not mean that the journalist publishes what he wants and incites violence. Rather, it must have a scope in which this freedom is exercised for considerations related to public order and public security. Therefore, the journalist or media organization publishing a media material that includes incitement to violence will expose them to criminal responsibility, In order to understand the subject, we divided the research into three sections. In the first section, we dealt with the concept of media freedom. In the second section, we dealt with the concept of media incitement to violence. The third section is devoted to the provisions of criminal responsibility for media incitement. In the conclusion, we recommend the need to issue legislation in audiovisual media crimes that includes clear rules for professional behavior in the media field.
